10. What is Landsat imagery? (34 SECONDS)

“Landsat is an instrument that has been flying, ah, on a satellite launched by NASA but managed by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Associ. ..ah agency, and that’s NOAA*, and it is -- has a number of sensors on it. The thematic mapper is probably the most accurate and has the best resolution. Landsat has been flying since the early 70’s. The students used Landsat 4, 5 and 7 imagery in their studies this last summer.”
