MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – "Houston, we’ve had a problem here," are the famous words spoken by Apollo 13 astronauts and heard by millions around the world. Sy Liebergot, a former Houston flight controller, retells "Apollo 13--The Longest Hour," detailing the explosion aboard the spacecraft and how the astronauts were brought safely home, on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. PDT at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 506 N. Liebergot will reflect on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo program. Sponsors are the Northern California and Nevada American Association of Physics Teachers, the NASA Lunar Science Institute at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., and the Gate Program of San Mateo High School.
