Tethered Test on May 4, 2011
JSC2011-E-040555 (4 May 2011) --- The Project Morpheus lander fires its liquid oxygen- and methane-fueled engine for a tethered test on May 4, 2011, at the Johnson Space Center. With the vehicle suspended from a crane, the tethered tests allow engineers to test their control of the vehicle with little risk of damage to the lander. Photo credit: NASA
