George H. Diller

George Diller has been at the Kennedy Space Center working in the NASA Public Affairs arena for 26 years. His primary responsibility is to serve as the lead information specialist at KSC for NASA's expendable launch vehicles and deployable payloads, including planetary and astrophysics spacecraft. He is also the responsible information specialist for tracking, data and telemetry including long range optical tracking. Diller serves as the primary liaison with the NASA-KSC Weather Office and the USAF 45th Weather Squadron also serving as the NASA Public Affairs member of the KSC hurricane ride-out team.

Diller supports the NASA launches occurring at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He serves as a launch commentator on NASA Television for both the space shuttle and expendable launch vehicles.

Diller was selected as the XA Employee of the Year for 2005. He was also selected to receive the Harry Kolcum Award for aerospace communications professionals in 2004.

He is a native Floridian having grown up in Sarasota and Clearwater. He holds degrees in Communications and Business Administration from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Prior to joining NASA, he worked 11 years in radio broadcasting at stations in Clearwater, Tampa and Orlando and had among his responsibilities covering the Kennedy Space Center as a newsman.

George Diller has lived in Titusville, Fla., since October 1978.
