NASA UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Applications for NASA's Undergraduate Student Research Program are 
being accepted through March 6 for the 15-week fall 2009 session. 

USRP internships offer students the opportunity to work with 
scientists and engineers at NASA centers, laboratories and test 
facilities, including the John C. Stennis Space Center near Bay St. 
Louis. Applicants must be United States citizens enrolled in an 
American college as sophomores, juniors or seniors with a minimum 
grade point average of 3.0 and majors or course work concentrations 
in engineering, mathematics, computer science or physical or life 
sciences. 

"NASA plays an important role in motivating young people to pursue 
science, technology, engineering and math fields," said Joy Smith, 
program manager. "This highly competitive project has selected some 
of the best and brightest young minds to contribute to the work of 
our engineering, physical sciences, earth, space and computer science 
labs."
