SOVIET SPACE OFFICIALS TO VISIT NASA FACILITIES


   A l5-member delegation of Soviet space officials, headed by 
Oleg N. Shishkin, Minister of General Machine Building, USSR, 
will visit NASA Headquarters and space centers, July 9-l6, 
l99l.  Richard H. Truly, NASA Administrator, invited Shishkin 
and other Soviet space officials to visit NASA facilities 
during Truly's visit to the Soviet Union last October. 

   The Soviet delegation will be briefed on the agency's 
programs at NASA Headquarters.  They will tour Space Shuttle 
and Space Station facilities at NASA's Goddard Space Flight 
Center, Greenbelt, Md.; Kennedy Space Center, Fla.; Marshall 
Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Ala.; Stennis Space Center, 
Miss.; and Johnson Space Center, Houston.

   The Soviet delegation will include officials from the 
Ministry of General Machine Building and the State Military 
and Industrial Commission.
