NASA SPOTLIGHTS NEW PERSPECTIVES ON LIGHTNING ABOVE CLOUDS

New NASA observations reveal lightning has startling effects on 
regions of space near Earth, from flashes of energy normally seen in 
titanic cosmic explosions to taming fierce radiation belts.
