NASA Awards Aircraft Operations Systems Support Contract
NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, has awarded a three-year $19.8 million Aircraft Operations Systems Support contract to Science Applications International Corp., of San Diego.
Two one-year options could bring the total value of the contract to $31.4 million. The first option is valued at $5.7 million; the second $5.9 million.
The contract covers replacement and integration of data management systems for aircraft maintenance systems; aircraft quality assurance; technical publications and documentation; engineering and operations. The contract also includes development of security management, disaster recovery, continuity of operations plans, remote access and administration processes.
The work will be done at Johnson and nearby Ellington Field, where the center has flight operations. The activity will support Johnson's Aircraft Operations Division.
