NASA RELEASES EXTERNAL ANALYSIS
OF HUMAN SPACE FLIGHT ALTERNATIVES

     Hawthorne, Krauss, and Associates, LLC, today submitted its 
Analysis of Potential Alternatives  to Reduce NASA's Cost of Human 
Access to Space --The Hawthorne Report -- to NASA Administrator 
Daniel S. Goldin.  NASA will use the Hawthorne report, along with 
the Space Transportation Architecture Study (when complete), as a 
road map for its future space flight requirements.
