INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION STATUS BRIEFING SET FOR MAY 2

     On the heels of Space Shuttle Endeavour's departure from 
the International Space Station, NASA managers will discuss 
the status of the Expedition Two mission during a status 
briefing.

The briefing is currently scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, at 
2 p.m. EDT from NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX.

Participants will include:
* John Curry, International Space Station Flight Director
* Merri Sanchez, Expedition Two Increment Manager
* Bob Cabana, International Space Station Manager for 
International Operations

Commander Yury Usachev and Flight Engineers Jim Voss and 
Susan Helms are well into the second month of their mission 
aboard the station, which is equipped with a new Canadian-
built robotic arm and Soyuz return vehicle.

The briefing will be broadcast on NASA Television with multi-
center question-and-answer capability from NASA centers.

NASA TV is available on satellite GE-2, transponder 9C, at 85 
degrees West longitude, vertical polarization, with a 
frequency of 3880 MHz and audio of 6.8 MHz.
