    Commander Jeffrey N. Williams

    Astronaut Jeffrey Williams served as commander for Expedition 22 and flight engineer and commander for Expedition 21. He previously resided on the space station for six months in 2006 as a member of the Expedition 13 crew.

  • Cosmonaut Maxim Suraev

    Flight Engineer Maxim Suraev

    Cosmonaut Maxim Suraev served as a flight engineer for Expeditions 22 and 21. He was selected as a test-cosmonaut candidate of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Cosmonaut Office in December 1997.

    Flight Engineer Oleg Kotov

    Cosmonaut Oleg Kotov served as an Expedition 22 flight engineer and will serve as Expedition 23 commander. In 2007 Kotov served a six-month tour of duty aboard the International Space Station as an Expedition 15 flight engineer.

  • Soichi Noguchi

    Flight Engineer Soichi Noguchi

    Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Soichi Noguchi flew to the station aboard the Soyuz TMA-17 spacecraft to serve as a flight engineer for Expeditions 22 and 23. Previously, he flew on STS-114 Discovery in 2005 and participated in three spacewalks.
