JSC2012-E-238541 (27 Nov. 2012) --- At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (GCTC) in Star City, Russia, the next trio of residents to be launched to the International Space Station began two days of certification exams for flight Nov. 27, 2012. Expedition 34 NASA Flight Engineer Tom Marshburn (left), Soyuz Commander Roman Romanenko (center) and Flight Engineer Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency received preliminary instructions from GCTC Director Sergei Krikalev (far right). Romanenko, Marshburn and Hadfield and their backups are in the final weeks of training for the launch on the Soyuz TMA-07M spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, scheduled for Dec. 19, for 5 ½ months on the orbital laboratory.
