Instrument Deck Installed on MMS Observatory #2

NASA’s Magnetospheric MultiScale (MMS) Observatory #2 following installation of the instrument deck onto the spacecraft structure in the early hours of December 11, 2012. Observatory #2 is the second of four observatories being assembled in the MMS cleanroom at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. and will remain at Goddard during the next several months while engineers and technicians integrate additional flight hardware and conduct necessary functional and environmental tests.
