Kennedy Educate to Innovate (KETI) is a new program within the Kennedy Space Center Education and External Relations Office. The primary goal of the KETI program is to engage and inspire students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The KETI program uses the Kennedy Space Center workforce, primarily professionals in scientific and engineering disciplines, to inspire the next generation of innovators and explorers. We provide our volunteers with the tools and materials to perform outreach activities. These outreach efforts are in direct line with the mission of the White House and NASA to strengthen the American workforce by supporting STEM education. KETI’s service region is Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. Additionally, we support education activities nationwide via the Digital Learning Network.
We have developed STEM-related topics for educators to use as a supplemental tool for their classroom or organization. A hands-on activity kit for various topics has been created, and consists of a PowerPoint presentation, hands-on activity with accompanying materials, and handouts for students. We also support other educational activities such as competition judging.
KETI works in collaboration with Kennedy's speakers bureau. To submit a request, please visit "How to Request a NASA Speaker" below. Be sure to reference KETI and specify the topic(s) that you want.
