The Academy of Program/Project and Engineering Leadership contributes to NASA’s mission by promoting individual and team excellence in program/project management and engineering through the application of learning strategies, methods, models, and tools.
The Engineering Program/Project Management Division is responsible for developing and communicating engineering and program management policy and processes, engineering audit functions, safety and mission success reviews and ensuring project success.
The NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC) performs value-added independent testing, analysis, and assessments of NASA's high-risk projects to ensure safety and mission success. The NESC engages proactively to help NASA avoid future problems.
